Alfredo Alvarez (Spanish Pastor)

My name is Alfredo Olivares I was born in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. Raised in a Catholic home, but at the age of 17 received Christ as my personal Savior on March 9, 1993 when my uncle invited me to the Baptist church where he attended a few years ago. The following year, our church started a Bible school, so I signed up for five years to prepare myself as a pastor and missionary. In September 1997 I married my dear wife, Diana Garcia, who accepted Christ as her personal Savior in the same church. We have two children, Anaid and Isaiah. Between 2002 and 2003 to help start a Baptist mission in my town. But in September 2003 we moved to Madison, Wisconsin to aid in the Spanish ministry of Grace Baptist. Our vision is to continue spreading God's word in our language to Hispanic people in Madison.

Chuck Edmonds (Youth Pastor)

I attended Northland Baptist Bible College from 1991 through 1996.  During revival meetings my third year I accepted the Lord as my personal Savior.  It was September 13, 1994 under the preaching of Evangelist Tom Farrell. I graduated in 1996 with a Bachelors degree in Youth Ministries.  After serving in two other ministries in South Carolina and Wisconsin, the Lord led my family to Grace Baptist in September of  2006.  My passion is to see young people develop Christian disciplines in their personal lives so that they have a firm foundation in Christ.  The Lord has blessed me with 23 years of marriage to my wife, Patti.  We have two daughters, Bethany and Erin.

Jennifer Harding (Church Secretary)

My name is Jennifer Harding and I have had the blessing of being the church secretary here at the Grace Baptist Church for almost two years. It is blessing to work for my church and our Pastor. He and his wife are a wonderful example on how a pastor and wife should be. Their love for our church is never-ending.

I was saved at the age of five years old and then later received assurance of my salvation at age thirteen. I had the privilege of being raised in a Christian. After graduating from high school I attended one year of college and Maranatha Baptist Bible College. I then sat out a year to save money to go back to college. After that year I then went to Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, FL. It was there that God lead me meet my husband Justin. We were married shortly after my husband graduated and just celebrated this past September our 10th anniversary. In those years the Lord has blessed our family with three beautiful girls. My husband and I have been member of Grace Baptist Church for seven years now and praise the Lord for the privilege of being to attend a Bible –believing church.

Diana Opala (Financial Secretary)

At the age of 5, a friend from school and her mom followed me home one day.  My friend’s father (James Mastin) just started a church in Milwaukee.  At the age of 7, I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior in our home.  I thank the Lord I was raised in a Christian family.I have been attending Grace Baptist Church since October 2003.  My husband (John) and I have been married for 25 years, and we have been blessed with two children, John Jr. and Kimberly.

I have been serving as the financial secretary at Grace since 2003.  It has been an honor serve the Lord in this area.  Prior, I served in the same area at Bible Baptist Church in West Bend, WI for 7 years.  I am grateful the Lord led us to Grace Baptist Church!
